Merlo P50.18HM. Heavy Handling with a Light Touch.
Engineered to handle heavy materials, Merlo’s P50.18HM features high performance within its compact dimensions (20’3” x 8’1” x 9’4”). Its maximum load capacity is 11,000 lbs. Its maximum lift of 59’ can safely handle 5,000 lbs. Its maximum reach makes moving 1,100 lbs. appear effortless.
Nimble and powerful
Powered by an Iveco 4.5 liter 170HP engine, this telehandler offers maximum movement precision thanks to the hydrostatic transmission, 4WD and 3 steering modes. The dry disc brakes limit the absorption of energy, thereby reducing the machine’s fuel consumption; the inching pedal allows for precision load positioning.

The standard in standard features
3” ring of steel protects the chassis and acts as the machine’s counter weight.
Frame leveling is integrated into the chassis. It allows the operator to offset the ground slopes to work in total safety. On sloping terrain the operator can correct the lateral inclination by 8%; this allows the telescopic boom to be moved out perpendicularly to work in maximum safety under all conditions.
Boom side-shift (left or right 16”) is integrated into the telescopic boom. This feature allows the load to be positioned without further machine maneuvering. This saves time, and improves operator and machine productivity.

The cab. Designed for optimal operator efficiency
The cab (FOPS and ROPS certified) on the P50.18HM offers spacious, generous dimensions. It has over 42 sq. ft. of the best view in its category, ensuring faster and safer operations. It offers ergonomic seating, easy access to an intuitive control dashboard, the electromagnetic joystick, and highly visible interactive LCDs. Machine shuttle is located on the joystick and the steering column. Heat and AC are standard. The wide split design safely allow natural air flow and conversation with on the ground crew members. The cab, mounted on silent blocks, drastically reduces vibrations guaranteeing maximum comfort and maximum visibility for the operator.
Quick attachment changeover
The P50.18HM is more than just forks for handling materials. It’s no flex boom, perfectly designed for ground engaging activities, accepts a number of attachments, such as buckets, winches, hooks, jibs, and jibs with winches, which adds to its job-site versatility. The built in Tac-Lock system, for hydraulic clamping of the attachments, is operated from the cab, further improving operating comfort and safety. Plus, by adding a skid steer adaptor, attachment capabilities are expanded.

Safety. Not an afterthought

Merlo’s integrated safety system controls the operating parameters in real time, keeping the operator abreast of machine function without reducing operator or machine productivity. The exclusive Merlo Dynamic Load Control (MCDC) system automatically detects the type of attachment used, the machine’s geometric configuration, the “boom extension and angle” and the handled load. The very visible Safety Tree keeps the operator abreast of how the machine is reacting to the load in real time. Combined with the information on the LCD, the operator has all information needed to safely run this Merlo telehandler to its optimum output.
The versatile Merlo P50.18HM guarantees superior performance, nimble maneuverability, versatile attachment capability, intuitive operator controls and optimum safety on every job.
